Background
Dr Abhi Ghadge is an Associate Professor (Reader) of Supply Chain Management and Director of Agile Research Club at 成人直播. He has significant experience in research, teaching, consultancy and knowledge exchange, and has published several journal articles in reputed international journals such as IJOPM, IJPE, SCMIJ, IJPR, and IJLM. Previously, Dr Ghadge worked as an Assistant Professor and Programme Director for Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK. Over the years, he has worked with a wide range of UK, European, and Asian organisations and has generated over 拢1.5M in direct funding through interdisciplinary research and industry-funded projects.
Dr Ghadge obtained PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Loughborough University Business School, UK. Earlier, he completed MTech in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India and BEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the Aeronautical Society of India.
Dr Ghadge serves as an editorial board member of International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Logistics Research & Applications, and Computers & Industrial Engineering. He has served as Area Editor (Supply Chain management) at Computers & Industrial Engineering. He also serves on the advisory committee for Logistics Research Network (LRN, CILT) and International Symposium on Logistics (ISL).
Dr Ghadge is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT), UK.
Research opportunities
Dr Ghadge is interested in collaborating with academics and practitioners in addressing below broad research question:
How can human鈥揂I systems create dynamic resilience capabilities in strategically important supply chain networks?
He is interested in supervising (self-funded or funded) PhD students and assisting Post-doctoral candidates in:
- Human-AI Collaboration for building supply chain resilience
- Digital transformation implementation adopting Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies/new business models
- Strengthening resilience capabilities of supply chains for latest risks

Dr Ghadge follows a practice-driven approach to challenging problems in risk and Industry 4.0/5.0 applications interfacing supply chains.
Dr Ghadge is responsible for conducting high quality research, education, and supervision in AI/Digital Supply Chains (Industry 4.0/5.0) and Supply Chain Resilience,
His research interests include:
- Human-AI Collaboration, Digital transformation and Digital Twin for improved supply chain performance.
- Supply chain risk and resilience: Assessment of impact and mitigation of emerging risks such as Climate change, cybersecurity, Financial risk, and counterfeit risk in global/local supply chains.
