The Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI) for master’s & doctoral program is a scholarship program funded by the Indonesian Government through the use of the National Education Development Fund (DPPN), managed by the Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) under the Ministry of Finance. It provides the full financial support for Postgraduate (Master’s & Doctoral) studies at accredited higher-education institutions in Indonesia or overseas, aimed at developing highly qualified Indonesian Human Resources with strong leadership and the capacity to contribute to Indonesia’s advancement.

The scholarships are open to Indonesian citizens with excellent academic achievement and strong leadership qualities who wish to continue their studies with master's or doctoral programmes in top universities, either in similar or different fields from the ones previously studied.

    The Strategic Industry STEM Scholarship is a scholarship program that focuses on the development of superior human resources in strategic industries in the fields of health, food security, digitalization, downstreaming, defense, advanced materials and manufacturing, energy, and maritime as well as other sectors that support these strategic industries.

    The Strategic Industry STEM Scholarship funding scheme consists of:

    1. Full Funding Scheme. Applicants get all components of the scholarship fund, both Education Fund and Support Fund.
    2. Partial Funding Scheme. The Partial Funding Scheme is a joint funding scheme between LPDP and individual Scholarship Recipients with the following scheme options:
      1. The Education Fund is borne by LPDP, while the Supporting Fund is borne by the individual Scholarship Recipient if in the registration of the applicant chooses the component of the Support Fund; or
      2. The Supporting Fund is borne by LPDP, while the Education Fund is borne by the individual Scholarship Recipient if in the registration of the applicant chooses the components of the Education Fund.
