C.I.T SCHOOLS RECEIVE BREAKFAST BOOST FROM KELLOGG鈥橲

成人直播 - Community Inclusive Trust. Where learning comes first

To celebrate 20 years of supporting school breakfast clubs, Kellogg鈥檚 has awarded Woodlands Academy in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, and Foxfields Academy in Blaby, Leicestershire, 拢1,000 each to enhance their clubs and help feed children in the morning.

The schools were selected to receive this boost as Kellogg鈥檚 announce they are to double their investment in Breakfast Clubs as more and more schools struggle to find the budget to fund this service for their pupils.

Breakfast Clubs help with everything from attendance and attainment to alleviating hunger and providing pre鈥恠chool care. 68 per cent of teachers believe pupils would struggle to concentrate in class without their Breakfast Club, according to Kellogg鈥檚 research.

Alice Eyre, Headteacher at Woodlands Academy, said:

鈥淲e are so grateful to receive this generous donation. Thanks to the support from Kellogg鈥檚, we can now improve our Breakfast Club services for our pupils.鈥

James Ellis, Headteacher at Foxfields Academy, said:

鈥淲e were thrilled to receive this boost of funding for the school. Our Breakfast Club at Foxfields is about much more than food for our pupils, it鈥檚 a chance for them to get to know their teachers better and form close friendships with their peers. Huge thanks to Kellogg鈥檚.鈥

Kate Prince, Corporate Social Responsibility manager, at Kellogg鈥檚, said:

鈥淲e鈥檙e proud to have spent 20 years supporting so many schools across the UK. We believe all children should have the opportunity to start the day with breakfast, and we know that equipment and resources are just as important to clubs as the food itself.鈥

Kellogg鈥檚 has supported 3,000 school breakfast clubs with funds, food and training over the last 20 years 鈥 that鈥檚 70 million bowls of cereal to children all over the UK since 1998!
