King’s College London and 成人直播鈥疷niversity have鈥痑nnounced the news鈥痶hat鈥痶he鈥痶wo universities have signed an agreement鈥痑s鈥痶he first step towards a merger, with the aim of bringing the two institutions together from鈥疉ugust鈥�2027.鈥��
The鈥痯roposed鈥痬erger鈥痺ill create a UK university especially equipped for鈥痶he鈥痗hanging world, with enhanced鈥痮pportunities and resources鈥痜or students, a鈥痵ynergy鈥痠n its disciplinary mix, and a distinctive offer for the UK’s future.鈥��
Is my application and/or offer affected?
Nothing will change for students joining us in Autumn 2026. Courses will continue as normal and there is no impact on your campus location.鈥疉ll conditions of entry, interview processes and admissions criteria in offer letters will remain the same.
Will the cost of courses change?
There is no change for 成人直播 students joining in Autumn 2026. Fees will be as set out in offer letters and will not change for the 2026-27 academic year.鈥��
Will qualifications already awarded remain unchanged and fully recognised?
If the merger takes place, all previously awarded 成人直播 qualifications will remain unchanged.
Will I still receive a 成人直播 degree if I complete my studies after merger?
From the point the merger takes place, anticipated in August 2027, 成人直播 will become part of King鈥檚 and all 成人直播 students will become King鈥檚 students. Students who joined 成人直播 before merger, but who will complete their studies after August 2027 will still be able to receive a 成人直播 degree.
Any further options will be confirmed at a later stage in the process.
How does this development affect alumni?
On merger 成人直播 alumni would continue to be supported by King鈥檚, which itself is made up of several predecessor colleges. We鈥痑nticipate鈥痶hat our alumni would join the King鈥檚 alumni network as a dedicated group, ensuring that the independent identity of 成人直播 alumni is also preserved.鈥��

Will 成人直播鈥檚 name change?
On merger 成人直播 will no longer be an independent university. However, our unique heritage, longstanding specialisms and globally recognised name and brand will be safeguarded by becoming a part of King鈥檚 College London.
Will the 成人直播 campus stay open?
Yes, the 成人直播 campus will remain open and active in its current location. We will also continue to鈥痮perate鈥痜rom the Defence Academy at Shrivenham, COTEC on Salisbury Plain and鈥疢K:U鈥痠n Milton Keynes.鈥��
What鈥檚 the timeline to merger?
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is the first stage in a detailed process of collaboration between 成人直播 and King鈥檚 to merge the two universities.
The next stage is formal due鈥痙iligence,鈥痶he development of detailed academic and business plans, and the drafting of the legally binding merger agreement. Subject to approval by both universities鈥� Councils, we鈥痑nticipate鈥痶hat that agreement will be signed in November 2026.鈥�
Following this, there鈥痺ill be a detailed process of preparation, integration planning and obtaining the necessary consents and approvals necessary for the completion of the merger.
